Cheung Chau island, Hong Kong 2016

Hi guys!

I have not written any blogs because I was running out of content.

I would want to make sure that the content it's interesting for you, guys!

...................................................................................................................................................................

Recently, I went to an island that has a beautiful seaview.

That's the Cheung Chau island in Hong Kong!

If you love street food and seaview, you will love this place.

I have never thought of going to Cheung Chau island till my friend called me.

"Ring! Ring!"

"Norena, let's go to Cheung Chau island since it is a beautiful day!"

I was like... what?!

I was shocked! It was a sudden call and I hadn't prepare anything thing!

Then, I thought if I did not go that day, I would not go never again! Anyway, I also needed some

contents to write for my blog. So I was like "Of course, we should go!"

Usually, I take 1 hour for my outing preparation. However, then, I just took as fast as 20 minutes to

get ready.

Anyway long story to short. I met my friends at the Central Pier.

Here are some pictures I would like to share with you...

Ferry terminal at cheung chau island
It was indeed a beautiful day. There was a clear blue sky. The sea is turquoise in colour. It felt that manmade and nature are working toghether to give out awesome scenery.

Street with stores and bikes

Mochi with mango filled
When you are at Cheung Chau island, you have to try this mochi mango flavour. So far, this is one of the best mochi I have ever tasted in Hong Kong. It is different than the usual mango mochi. This filled with real mango fruit.

Friendly aunty is making fried ice cream

Fried ice cream

Fried vanilla ice cream
It was the first time I had fried ice cream. It tasted cold and hot at the same time. It was made of ice cream mochi dipped in flour and fried.

Spiral potatoes
There are so many flavours you can put onto your spiral potatoes. Flavours from just simple seasonings like salt and peppers to chocolate flavours. They are placed outside the store and you are free to sprinkle any of them to your potatoes. I mixed almost all the flavours to my spiral potatoes. hehehehe ^^

Love locks

"Lock of Love"
I never thought that I would see these love locks in this small island. So sweet!!!

Souvenirs store
There are many souvenirs stores near the ferry terminal.

View during the sunset
I was there only for 2 hours with my friends. However, I felt that my sudden trip is worth going!

How to get there?
Get to down to Hong Kong station and exit at IFC (International Finance Center)2. Then, walk towards to the ferry terminal by crossing a bridge where you can see a huge ferris wheel. Find Pier no. 5 to Cheung Chau island. You are supposed to check out the different timings of the ferry.

Tips:
I do not think that the goods or food at cheung chau island are cheap. But I think that they are merely affordable. I think a 3 hour trip would be more than enough to see almost the whole island. So it is not necessary to stay overnight there. However, if you would like to stay there, there are hotels located on that island (in case if you missed the last ferry to Hong Kong).

P.s. I hope you enjoy your trip! ^^
