At Marina Bay Sands Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen Restaurant experience
HI!
Before I am going to continue what happened to my life story, I want to share with you the most interesting and epic event I had. 13th the Friday, many people believe that there would be a bad luck if you are not at home from 6pm onwards. However, I went out the whole day till 11pm. Otherwise, this hilarious event wouldn't happen.
My brother, his friend ( name "H") and I went to a fancy restaurant, "Bread Street Kitchen". We had so much fun with the bartenders and the other waitresses and waiters as well. I had gone to so many restaurants, but I have never felt this entertaining before.
I never expect anything until this happened...
We thought of ways on how to settle the bill among the 3 of us. Later, we decided that 1 of us should pay for the bill and treat the others. We agreed.
At first, I suggested on taking my brother's, H's and my credit or visa cards on the table, and let the bartenders pick 1 card out of 3. The card which is picked has to pay for the bill. My brother said it was a good idea BUT "H" disagree.
Out of the blue, my brother started to sing a birthday song. Of course, I was stunned. I was like... should I sing it too? But not long later, "H" started to sing as well! He sang a birthday song with my brother happily. They sang pretty loudly. Then, both of them looked at me, smiling ear to ear while clapping.
OH SHOOT! I know what had just happened. I felt so stupid! I don't know about you guys, but normally in my clique, whenever someone has a birthday, he/she should treat the whole group of friends to a meal. This means that my brother and "H" want me to treat them.
The only thing I did was staring at them. We never solve who is going to settle the bill.
After we ate our main course, a bartender suggested if we would like desserts. We said; "YES".
Then... a waitress brought a dessert, which I ordered, and a brownie cake with a candle on top (see the picture above). The plate clearly written "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". Believe it or not, they sang birthday song for me again! Apparently, they were aware and observant of their surroundings! I was absolutely puzzled, my brother and "H" too. They did not expect this kind service to appear right in front of their eyes. It's because the "Birthday" was just a JOKE! My brother giggled and said:" "H", you know who's paying the bill. " "H" looked at me. I was like fine, " I am going to treat these 2 boys".
The total bill? It's expensive, not going to deny, as it was an expected price from the fancy and luxurious restaurant. But I REALLY LOVE the restaurant because of their services. It gives so much wonderful colours to the restaurant. I don't mind paying an expensive meal if their services and drinks are excellent.
REASONS TO GO GORDON RAMSAY's "Bread Street Kitchen" in Singapore:
1. Excellent Services: From the above story, the waitresses and waiters are very observant and aware of their surroundings. This means if you left and have forgotten your belongings, there would be a 99.999% that they would run and give it back to you. Another event was, when I was at the toilet for a while, I remembered I left the table cloth crumpled. Later, I found that the table cloth was folded neatly into a triangle shaped. I was like WOW. I was impressed. They really want their customers to have a good dining experience.
2. Entertaining: This will only happen if you sit at the bar area. Normally, a fine dining restaurant wouldn't have a bar. But this is special, like no other luxury restaurants have. The bartenders and other staffs will have a conversation to you. Funny ones, of course. At the same time you get to watch how they make cocktails and other drinks too. However, if you prefer to have a private conversation with your partners, I wouldn't recommend you, sitting at the bar to dine.
3. Good drinks: I asked the bartender to recommend me any drinks that are perfect for women. He gave me this:
It's a cocktail ( I don't know what's the name...sorry) . He really tried his best to make sure that the drink looks good. How sweet!
P.S, So... if you wants to go and try it out... GO AHEAD!
It's an experience of once in a blue moon.
OH! and don't forget to book a reservation before going to this restaurant.
I was just lucky to find seats on that day without any reservation. Usually, that place is so packed.
I sincerely hope you get the same experience I had when I was there. HAVE FUN!
