A Vietnamese Restaurant
Hi guys,
I would like to share my experience with you at a vietnamese restaurant, which is located at Dhoby Ghaut in Singapore.
I went there and had a dinner with my vietnamese roommate, named "N"
Honestly, I loved their side dishes.
As you can see at the bottom, there are fried "Lupiah" which is on the black plate and on the right side it is a salad (shrimps and pomelo fruit) seasoned with chillies and lime. It tasted fresh! The fried "Lupiah" was very crispy and it's my favourite! "Lupiah" contains meats and vegetables or a combination of both. Mine was a combination.
However, I did not like my main dish which was the spicy beef noodles.
Initially, I was very excited looking at the noodles because I thought the broth would taste very rich. Normally, a reddish broth would indicate that there are various spices added in while making the broth, BUT it's NOT!
The only thing I could taste was just pure... SPICINESS >_<!!
That was not the taste I imagined!
"N" ordered a clear broth beef noodles. The dish which is very famous in Vietnam but...
She told me that it did not taste right.
For the picture above, it is a vegetarian sandwiches. It tasted normal, very light in weight and taste. Again, however, the bread was not very fragrant to me.
I don't know if my friends and I had chosen the wrong dishes.
But what do you think about the food there? (for those people who know which restaurant I am talking about)
P.S. There is a vietnamese restaurant that I recommend you guys to try them out. It is located at Chinatown, Singapore. The restaurant called "Yummy Viet". It is popular among my vietnamese friends and the dish you should try is "Beef Stew".
You guys can recommend some places and dishes for me to try in Singapore.
