Mozza at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
Hi guys!
I am here again to tell you some reviews about the restaurant I went to recently on 5th of June 2016.
My brother initially wanted to try DB Bistro Moderne restaurant which is right beside Mozza restaurant.
When we were heading towards DB restaurant, we walked passed the Mozza restaurant formal dining. We could smell food fragrance that lured us to go in and try out their dishes instead of DB restaurant. (sorry DB restaurant).
So this time round I went to eat with the same people (my brother and "H"-my Vietnamese friend) and an additional person who is my brother's girlfriend, "F" who didn't follow us to the Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. I know this sounds vulgar, but her name really starts with an alphabet, "F". Please don't get me wrong guys!
Well, this time round there was nothing special happened. We only tasted their dishes that's all. I will tell you the feedback I got from them.
From the place itself, their interior decor was really nice and classy, provides a romantic experience especially for couples. The service was good like any other fancy restaurant would serve to their customers.
Let's go to the dishes! We had 4 of their side dishes as an appetizers. The first to appeared on our table was a free appetizer, a fried taco (I guess) top with creamy mozzarella and herbs. This was to promote their new side dishes to customers. I didn't want to eat it at first because I don't like creamy taste because sometimes it tastes very sickening to me. Surprisingly, it tasted better than expected. I could still handle it pretty well.
Next dish that appeared was our ordered mozzarella. The base was a toasted bread with pickles, bacon caramel spring onions and of course their mozzarella cheese. It tasted okay to all of us except for "F" who thought that it tasted very sour.
This is the free dish we had!
This is the mozzarella with bacon.
This is the salad.
After that, our hazelnut salad was ready. We dug in. Unfortunately, the salad dressing tasted too sour because of the vinegar.
Main dishes... Everything went well. The dishes we ordered were duck, beef salad, chicken and salmon. Nothing special except for the fish. The salmon tasted outstanding among the dishes we ordered:moist and had a nice seasoning!
This is the most expensive dish among all the dishes we ordered: Beef salad.
I sliced my duck. Below is a picture that complement with the dishes.
from bottom to top: Mustard, salad and fried spring onion.
This is the salmon I am talking about! Perfect proportion and taste. But I don't know if you guys love it.
Sorry I did not take a picture of the chicken. The first thing when I saw my "duck". I was like WOW! That is so huge! Same as the chicken as well. My my main dish was served side dishes one salad and a mustard wasabi sauce. I did not like the sauce but I love the salad. I only think that the the portion of duck and the chicken is too big. Moreover, it would be great if the duck and chicken would be a fillet instead.
There are pros and cons to go to Mozza restaurant.
So I will give you a very important tip to enjoy yourselves there.
When I was over there, I did not understand the menu at all. So, I feel you should ask the waiter or waitress before ordering your food if you don't understand the menu at all. Coz, I did not! Be more specific to them like what would you like to have for dinner and ask for their recommendation. Don't be hesitate!
Their service was good as well. No complaint! If you want to have dinner with your love ones go ahead! Again pricing wise, it is expensive. It is good to have a family dinner as well.
Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy your dining at Mozza Restaurant!
