Tung Chung island, Hong Kong
Hi everyone!
I would like to share with you my experience at Tung Chung island.
Well, if you would like to see the big Buddha, you should visit Tung Chung island/resort.
To get to Tung Chung island/resort, you can take a taxi or public transport.
if you would like to get there by public transport, you can take the MTR to Tung Chung Station, it is one stop after the Sunny Bay station (the orange/yellow line).
Once you reach Tung Chung station, you should walk towards exit B. Then, you have to get a bus no. 23.
The other option is to hike.
My friends and I decided to take the cable car instead of taking the bus. It is because, it takes a longer time to reach our destination. It takes approximately 1 hour. However, if you take the cable car, it would only take 20 minutes.
The cable car costs HK$130 for standard while the crystal cable car (the bottom see through cable car) costs HK$180 for one single trip.
That's the cable car ticket (right)
It is the view from the cable car.
TUNG CHUNG ISLAND
Welcome to Tung Chung Island!
Over here, there are few restaurants like Hong Kong cuisine restaurant, Indian restaurant and even Subway! They sell a few goodies or souvenirs too! However, you should try out their beancurd pudding there, it's really good!
You can see the big Buddha there... on top of the mountain
There you go, to reach the Big Buddha, you have to climb 200+ stairs. It's tiring! But it was worth going to the peak.
Once you reach, you will see this amazing view!
Well, may be from the picture it seems small. Actually it was HUGE
P.s If anyone of you love hiking or sightseeing, this is one of the destinations you should consider visiting. ^^

Tips:
Do not forget to bring a cap, an umbrella or water bottle along especially in the summer. AND do apply Sunscreen protection (the sun could burn your skin). Bring your cameras along too!
It is better to have your meal first before visiting, the restaurants are more expensive than usual (because it is tourist attraction).
