My diary (thoughts) 2016

16 December 2016 I am currently wanting to write a diary to relieve some of my thoughts. Dear diary, I have done so many things in life. I cannot even recall some of the memories I have been collecting. There are some regrets I contained. I feel I should have more achievements in life. For example, taking a risk to open a new business when I had the opportunity to do so. Have you ever feel lost and not knowing what to do for life? I do. What's weird is that I had try so many new things, such as going overseas as an exchange student, but it doesnt help me to analyze what is my life goal. It is sad. Luckily, I am the person who never back down. No matter how difficult I have to find out what is my life goal, I will persistently looking and searching for it till I know what I want to do in life. It is a difficult decision to make but choice matters the most. I always remember a quote from my friend. "No one says it is going to be easy" Anything you want to ach...

池记 wonton restaurant at Causeway Bay

Image
Hi! It's been a long time since I have posted a blog. I would like to apologize to my readers for the late post due to busy schedules. T T Hong Kong is famous for its wonton noodles. Wonton is a prawn or meat wrapped with a thin layer of dough. It mostly served with noodles or soup. Even though I have been living in Hong Kong for almost 3 months now, I finally had the chance to eat this famous delicacy recently. My dorm a.k.a Indonesian friend named (K) had visited this famous restaurant, which is located nearby the Time Square. This restaurant is her father's favourite. She said, "池记 wonton restaurant is delicious! You really have to go there and try their wonton soup/noodles."  Since I had been craving for so long, why not I try it out?! So during one of the weekends, we travelled from Tsing Yi to Causeway Bay just to eat that delicious wonton. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat wonton as we got lost! We thought that the restaurant was located nearby th...

Yuen Long, Hong Kong

Image
Hi! I would like to tell you guys about the experience I had in Yuen Long. Yuen Long is where you are able to experience the modern and traditional life of the Hong Kongers. Personally, I fell in love with this district the moment I arrived. Unlike the city areas, Yuen Long still maintains its traditional buildings such as the shop-houses that are located at the sides of the roads. There are endless stores, stalls and shopping malls! I walked approximately for 3 hours and still I could not visit half of them! Street foods are located at various places. So, if you are a food lover, like I do, I highly recommend you to try as many food as possible. Do try their "Xiu Mai" and "Fish balls", they are really good. The tips on eating them is to put the black sauce and chilli. I believe every stall has bottles of sauces that are located on the table, where you would receive your order. You simply squeeze the sauces to your food and there you go! You can enjoy t...

DimSum Icon, Hong Kong

Image
Hi! Have you guys heard of dimsum icon before? It is a restaurant/cafe where almost all their food are decorated with a yellow and cute character (I have no idea what is the name. Do comment if you know it!) The decoration of the place is cute too! Perfect for adults and children. There are variety types of food. However, I feel that their desserts and sweet baos are better than their main dish. If you ask me whether I will revisit this restaurant, I would say "YES". It is because I will come after their dessert and bao! Moreover, the food is cute which helps me to keep away with stress. Actually, I did play with these food before I ate them. hehehehehehe... like poking their "butts" and squeeze it, so that the fillings will appear from "it". You know what I mean. Dimsum icon restaurant. Waiting for seats. (sorry for the bad picture) The menu See they are so cute! This is bao (buns) that is filled with chocolate T...

Australia Diary Company Ltd at Jordan, Hong Kong

Image
Hi! There is a restaurant that I would LOVE to share with you guys. Let me first tell you the story how I came across this popular restaurant. I simply took my phone and went online to look up for top 10 best restaurants in Hong kong. That's all LOL... So my device showed, " Australia Dairy Company ". It is located at 47 Parkes Street. The nearest MTR is Jordan, from Jordan station you have to walk towards "Exit C". Long story to short, my friend and I are absolutely clueless about Hong Kong. We supposed to reach that place within 2 mins. However, because we had no idea where it was located, it took us 30 minutes to get there! It was insane! Moreover, the queue was so LONG, especially weekends. So my friend and I decided to have pizzas at "pizza hut" instead because we couldn't hold our hunger any longer. So we passed the restaurant. But we still want to have a try though and decided to go there another day. That fateful ...

Poem: Jealous

HI! Today, I would like to share with you my personal feelings. Have you ever feel jealous of someone's life, while he/she feels jealous of your life? So, I made a poem to express this feeling. Jealous Why are you jealous of me? Why are you jealous of my life? Why are you jealous of my success? When I am jealous of your life. Piggy p.s. Many people, including ourselves, would be jealous of others. I feel that everyone should know that they are not the only one that can feel jealous. All of us can feel green too!

Tung Chung island, Hong Kong

Image
Hi everyone! I would like to share with you my experience at Tung Chung island. Well, if you would like to see the big Buddha, you should visit Tung Chung island/resort. To get to Tung Chung island/resort, you can take a taxi or public transport. if you would like to get there by public transport, you can take the MTR to Tung Chung Station, it is one stop after the Sunny Bay station (the orange/yellow line). Once you reach Tung Chung station, you should walk towards exit B. Then, you have to get a bus no. 23. The other option is to hike. My friends and I decided to take the cable car instead of taking the bus. It is because, it takes a longer time to reach our destination. It takes approximately 1 hour. However, if you take the cable car, it would only take 20 minutes. The cable car costs HK$130 for standard while the crystal cable car (the bottom see through cable car) costs HK$180 for one single trip.  That's the cable car ticket (right) It is the view from ...

Study in Hong Kong as an exchange student

Image
Hi! Currently, I am in Hong Kong as an exchange student. I will live there only for 4 months. My first assumption was; the locals from Hong Kong would not be able to speak or understand english or pu tong hua (chinese language). I thought, " I am so doom!" It is because when I was young (may be around 2008), I went there for a vacation and found out that many of them were unable to speak english or chinese. They spoke cantonese most of the time, even if they understand chinese, they would still reply you in cantonese. However, after 10 years, I realised that, there are many changes in Hong Kong. Many people are more well educated. There are many english and chinese speakers around the whole country! I am so thankful for that. Finally there's a reduce in language barrier! Anyway, in the month of September, Hong Kong is experiencing rainy season. Almost everyday, it would rain! The rain doesn't stop for a while. It lasted for like hours! So if you are planni...

PIG's Life 2

Hi guys! Right now, I am going to share with you part 2 of my story, PIG's Life 2. PIG's Life was actually an introduction of my family's background. This time, you will know more about my life. I will tell you on how I ended up staying in Singapore. "N, do you want to travel to Singapore?" "Do you want to study there?" Without any hesitation, I excitedly said, "Yes!" Then, my mum turned to my younger brother and asked the same question. The only thing he did was looking at my mum with his "puppy eyes" while "wiggling his tail". You know what the answer guys. While my mum was sitting down on the sofa at the living room, there was a figure standing right behind her. It was my dad. His face was red as tomato. He clenched his fist and glared at my mum. My mum knew that she was in deep trouble. Both of them went into their bedroom in silence. After that, I heard both of them shouting at one another across the room...

Montigo Resorts, Batam 2016 review

Image
Hi guys! I am back after a few weeks! I miss you! Montigo Resort, Batam I went there with my brother, his girlfriend, a malaysian friend and myself. We decided to stay at Montigo Resort because we want to escape from a hectic life we had in Singapore. I never had a luxurious vacation, this was my first. You have to ride by a golf car just to travel around the resort. When I was at the lobby, the staff will provide you a wet towel and drinks before they are going to send you to your villa. The villa itself was so spacious! OMG! You have to be there to feel it! This is a place that I want to recommend to you guys, which is Montigo Resort, Batam. If you guys are looking for a perfect place to have some relaxation or wanting to get summer during Christmas, this is for you guys! Mozza at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Image
Hi guys! I am here again to tell you some reviews about the restaurant I went to recently on 5th of June 2016. My brother initially wanted to try DB Bistro Moderne restaurant which is right beside Mozza restaurant. When we were heading towards DB restaurant, we walked passed the Mozza restaurant formal dining. We could smell food  fragrance that lured us to go in and try out their dishes instead of DB restaurant. (sorry DB restaurant). So this time round I went to eat with the same people (my brother and "H"-my Vietnamese friend) and an additional person who is my brother's girlfriend, "F" who didn't follow us to the Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. I know this sounds vulgar, but her name really starts with an alphabet, "F". Please don't get me wrong guys! Well, this time round there was nothing special happened. We only tasted their dishes that's all. I will tell you the feedback I got from them. From the place itself, their in...

Poem: Young

Hi! I am back. I know many of us (teenagers) bottle up our emotions. We seldom share them to our parents or friends. So, I wrote a poem inspired by tata young's song. This is a poem that I want to tell all adults, hoping them to understand us better. Young We are young  We make mistakes Mistakes sometimes unforgivable We are young We don't understand Understand how the world works for us We  are young  We make mistakes We are innocent Coz we are young So guide us Lead us Forgive us while we are young. Piggy I know that some of you have difficulties in life. I hope this poem will help you to overcome them, just by showing this to your love ones and hope that they will understand you better. GOOD LUCK ^^

A Vietnamese Restaurant

Image
Hi guys, I would like to share my experience with you at a vietnamese restaurant, which is located at Dhoby Ghaut in Singapore. I went there and had a dinner with my vietnamese roommate, named "N" Honestly, I loved their side dishes. As you can see at the bottom, there are fried "Lupiah" which is on the black plate and on the right side it is a salad (shrimps and pomelo fruit) seasoned with chillies and lime. It tasted fresh! The fried "Lupiah" was very crispy and it's my favourite! "Lupiah" contains meats and vegetables or a combination of both. Mine was a combination. However, I did not like my main dish which was the spicy beef noodles. Initially, I was very excited looking at the noodles because I thought the broth would taste very rich. Normally, a reddish broth would indicate that there are various spices added in while making the broth, BUT it's NOT! The only thing I could taste was just pure... SPICINESS ...
